The OpenATV Team & the MyAzbox Board are proud to introduce the OpenATV image
We all have worked hard to fix as many bugs as we could before the release
and we are hoping that you will enjoy this image as much, as we enjoyed the development process
The OpenATV image is the first Azbox image including the hbbtv plugin
Opera browser is still possible, its part of the hbbtv plugin. If you install hbbtv from feed you will also have the browser
The Azbox keymap is always good for a controversial discussion
The OpenATV image gives you many possibilitys for further customization
Of course we tried to configure the default keymap as logical as we could
But if you want to try them all you will quickly run out of free space but don't worry you can expand it with the flashexpander plugin. It moves the /usr directory away from DOM, just plug in a ext formatted flash memory drive (the flash memory drive can be formatted inside the image (HDD settings))
The hbbtv plugin runs on all Azboxes (all pictures were taken on my Premium) unfortunately not equally fast. Please don't forget the Azbox sell began in 2009, when hbbtv was still a concept paper
From this point of view, we are very happy that it is running against all odds, like the slow processor and the insufficient RAM. With a little bit patience everyone can use hbbtv
